Brad Guigar has been doing a daily comic strip for ten years. Tens of thousands read it every day on the Web, and it appears in front of an estimated 1.4 million newspaper readers a week. He has published over a dozen printed collections of his work, and has been nominated for an Eisner award -- the top honor in the comics indusry.

And he does it without a syndicate. Without a publisher. And without an editor.

He co-wrote the seminal How To Make Webcomics book and co-hosted the popular Webcomics Weekly podcast. He is the editor-in-chief of Webcomics.com, a subscription-only site for news, advice and information for webcartoonists.

Brad Guigar is a lively, engaging speaker. He has delivered inspirational and informative presentations on cartooning and Web publishing at Harvard University, San Diego's Comic-Con, and countless comic conventions.

Brad is available to speak on the topics of cartooning, webcomics, and self-publishing on the Web.

Brad's daily comic strip started out as Greystone Inn, but in 2005, he ended Greystone and spun-off Evil Inc, which has been in daily production ever since. Evil Inc is about a corporation run for supervillains by super-villains. There are 11 self-published book collections between the two titles.

Courting Disaster is Brad's weekly comic about love, sex and relationships. It runs online and in the Philadelphia Daily News, where it accompanies a sex-advice column. Brad has published three printed collections of Courting Disaster.

Phables was Brad's two-year-long series about everyday life in Philadelphia. It ran online and in the Philadelphia Daily News. It was named the Best Column in Philadelphia by the Society of Professional Journalists, and it garnered Guigar a nomination for comics' highest honor, the Eisner Award.

The How to Make Webcomics book, now in its third printing, was a collaboration among Brad and three other webcomics veterans who wanted to write the book they wish they'd had when they were starting out. Tens of thousands of webcartoonists who bought the books say they succeeded.

Before "How To Make Webcomics," Guigar wrote "The Everything Cartooning Book," a 300-page tutorial covering all aspects of cartooning for Adams Media.

Webcomics.com is a subscription-only Web site for professionally-minded cartoonists who want to learn how to run their comics as a self-sustaining business. Brad is the editor-in-cheif, writing four posts a week, and organizing special members-only benefits for subscribers.
